My goal in breeding Shih Tzu- to breed the most wonderful companions that you could ask for, that are good enough examples of the breed to compete in conformation and win!  I see people breeding for the best show dog they can produce, and losing track of the fact that these were bred to be companions, and my thought is that if you aren't breeding something you love to live with, you are failing!  My dogs are in the house with me, and are all true joys- each unique.

2008 was a banner year for Pien Ji, with the first THREE homebred Pien Ji Shih Tzu (pictured above) attaining their AKC championships- all owner handled.  Red Fred earned an invitation to the AKC Eukanuba National Specialty as a Bred-By Exhibitor Champion.

Red Fred went on to win Best in Specialty Show his first time in the ring as a special AKC & Int'l under the greatly respected Zell Von Pohlman, again owner handled.  And the three of them made our first champion- CH Ningsia's Chun Kee Bob- the #5 producer of champion Shih Tzu for 2008.
