Membership Information
The Gig Harbor Kennel Club welcomes applicants for membership provided they are in good standing with the American Kennel Club and are willing to subscribe to the purposes of this club. While membership is unrestricted as to residence, the club's primary purpose is to be representative of the breeders and exhibitors in the greater Gig Harbor, Washington, area.
There are three types of standard memberships.
1) Regular Individual – An individual member who pays full dues and is eligible to participate in all club privileges, and whose presence counts for the purpose of determining a quorum. This membership is for those who will be able to attend meetings on a regular basis and provide a meaningful contribution to club activities.
2) Household - Two or more adult members residing in the same household, eligible to participate in all club privileges.
3) Junior – Youth up to 18 years of age. Junior members pay half the annual dues rate, and cannot vote or hold office. Junior members may convert to regular membership at age 18 upon payment of full dues.
